Depending on experience, this position may be filled as either a Parks Maintenance Worker 1 or Parks Maintenance Worker 2. This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position with the Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department. This recruitment is open to fill (2) positions within the department. Parks Maintenance Worker 1:Under general supervision, performs semi-skilled and skilled work in the care, maintenance, repair and restoration of city parklands. This includes: playing fields, cemeteries, native and landscaped areas, trails, and recreation amenities. The Parks Maintenance Worker I is an entry level and trainee class within the Parks Maintenance Worker series. This class is distinguished from Parks Maintenance Worker II in that the incumbents receive continual training and education opportunities, while gaining on-the-job experience.
