MAJOR DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics measurements devices such as Vernier's.

Precisely measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

Check tooling and equipment to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooled.

Clean and lubricate parts, machines, tools, parts and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.

Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Ability to perform secondary operations with grinders, drills and manual operations.

Maintain a safe and clean work station at all times.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/GED is preferred.

Must be proficient in mathematics.

Minimum one year of experience in machining industry.

Physical Requirements: Lift 50 pounds or more on occasion.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
