They are Integrity, Teamwork, Passion for Winning, Ownership & Leadership.Position Title: Shipping Material Handling AssociateLocation: Reno, NevadaReports to: Shipping SupervisorThe Material Handling Associate performs all core receiving/shipping functions on a rotating basis, including but not limited to stoking, organizing, loading / unloading trucks, labeling, and storing finish goods. Additional responsibilities could include data entry and heavy equipment operation. Continual use and understanding of a warehouse management system.Responsibilities:Accurate stocking of inventory into assigned active pick locations and High Rack reserve.Organized loading/unloading of shipment containers and trucks.Accurate verification of received goods vs. shipment documents (arrival notices, packing lists)Accurate Deconsolidation of mixed inbound products.Identifying and reporting discrepancies to the Receiving Supervisor and/or Receiving LeaderLabeling and sorting of goods to prepare them for receiptPackage and Inbound Delivery inspectionRandom audits of parcel shipments (UPS,FEDEX,USPS)Must exude a willingness to work in any department in the DC as necessary (Picking, VAS, QC, Packing)Must maintain a professional attitude at all timesMust maintain a clean and safe work environmentFollows all safety procedures and report safety infractionsMust participate in the annual Physical Inventory countsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentFlexibility in a changing work environmentExcellent attendance and punctuality is expectedKey Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentPreferred 1-year or more experience in distribution functions and/or material handling operationsBasic problem solving skillsGood organization skillsGood verbal and written communications skillsBasic computer skills (Windows/Excel)Willing to be certified and operate equipment such as Stock Picker, Fork Lift, Electric Pallet Jack and Reach TruckMust be able to pass drug testBenefits:Starting Wage: $20.00/hr with annual increasesMedical, Dental, Vision insurance9 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidaysVacation/PTO time after 60 daysHSA (health savings account options)Short-term/Long-term Disability InsuranceSteep employee discounts on many brandsEmployee only events and salesNewell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer's, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
