Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Cashier and Stock Associate, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing the customer shopping experience at ALDI. Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $16.00 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $16.50 | Year 3 - $17.00 | Year 4 - $17.00 | Year 5 - $18.00

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with team members and effectively communicating with your direct leader.
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
• Completing other duties as assigned.

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Efficiently processing customer purchases and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Providing outstanding customer service and assisting shoppers with their needs.
• Giving feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, and general concerns.
• Participating in inventory counts and ensuring accuracy.
• Adhering to cash handling policies to minimize losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stocking shelves and ensuring product rotation for freshness.
• Creating attractive merchandise displays based on merchandising guidelines.
• Organizing and breaking down inventory packaging.
• Operating equipment safely and following all safety procedures.

Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk within the store regularly.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties in line with company standards.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good time management skills.
• Knowledge of ALDI products and services.
• For Cashiers: Proficiency in operating a cash register accurately.
• For Stockers: Morning availability is essential, with potential start times as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior retail experience is a plus, and a combination of education and experience is also considered.
