Logistics Engineer
Support data analysis, design, and implementation of capital projects, cost savings/improvement solutions for the distribution center in areas such as personnel, programs, and equipment utilization. Develop processes, procedures, and testing for business units and customers, mainly for distribution and production centers. Create and maintain documentation. Understand process capabilities through critical data analysis and in-depth understanding of product variety within the warehouse, utilizing data administration tools for process optimization and operational improvements. Provide support for day-to-day warehouse operations, develop and update instructional documents and process instructions to assist operations. Manage project implementation of improvement solutions or new process/software introductions; identify areas for equipment, process, or personnel utilization improvements. Monitor solutions and present findings to management. Update work instructions, resolve processing issues, and address process, design, and operational debugging to improve efficiency. Support automation systems like AGVs, conveyors, and sorting systems. Identify practical and innovative solutions to reduce complexity and waste in current and future processes.
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Science, or related field, with 3 years of experience as a Logistics Engineer, Validation Engineer, Data Analyst, or related occupation. Skills required include statistical data analysis (mean, standard deviation, regression, hypothesis testing, sample size determination), management of material handling equipment, experience with slotting software, Minitab, JMP, Python, AutoCAD, VBA/SQL, Visio, MS Project, R, Power BI, and developing engineered labor management systems to improve workforce efficiency in a distribution center environment.
$129,375 to $142,312 per year.
