Position Summary

This position is responsible for conducting Reservoir Engineering studies to support exploration, development, and operations of geothermal resources globally. The role involves working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment and contributing as a high-level specialist.

The compensation level will depend on experience, ranging from Reservoir Engineer to Senior Reservoir Engineer.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure a safe workplace and promote safety with the goal of zero incidents.
  • Utilize technical authority within company processes, maintaining high accuracy and relevance in work.
  • Perform tasks independently or within a team, driving meaningful outcomes.
  • Act dependably and use sound judgment.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations, adhering to company standards.
  • Manage data consistently with company systems.
  • Lead projects and activities to achieve relevant outcomes.
  • Conduct training and mentor others.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams for work activities and act as a primary contact.
  • Demonstrate leadership in creating new projects and opportunities.
  • Innovate and improve tools, systems, and processes.
  • Analyze well performance, diagnose issues, and assist with remedial actions.
  • Evaluate well performance for improvements.
  • Collect and analyze reservoir data, develop models, and optimize production.
  • Collaborate with operations, geologists, and project managers for reservoir management.
  • Plan and specify well tests and diagnostics.
  • Design and supervise well tests, ensuring safety.
  • Specify and evaluate pumps for production wells.
  • Maintain data quality and work with external consultants.

Other Responsibilities

  • Handle additional work outside routine responsibilities.
  • Represent the company professionally at industry forums.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Master's in Science or Engineering; Doctorate is advantageous.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in geothermal or related fields.
  • Knowledge of relevant disciplines.
  • Project Management experience preferred, with PMI certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, well testing, modeling, and programming (Matlab, Python preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize, ensure accuracy, and resolve problems.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements

  • Work in office, field, and power plant environments, including remote locations.
  • Operate vehicles safely and wear PPE.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs and travel up to 30%, including internationally.
