Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in data center operations to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the commissioning process for data center facilities, ensuring systems are tested, validated, and operational to meet performance and reliability standards. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee the commissioning of data center systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and control systems.
  • Perform functional testing, system integration, and performance validation to ensure compliance with design specifications and client requirements.
  • Develop and review commissioning plans, test scripts, and documentation to support project delivery.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during commissioning, providing solutions to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations teams during the handover phase.
  • Maintain detailed records of commissioning activities, including test results and system performance data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commissioning data center facilities or similar critical infrastructure environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of data center systems, including power distribution, cooling systems, and building management systems (BMS).
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, and LEED certifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in commissioning software and tools (e.g., CxAlloy, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CxA, PMP, or data center-specific credentials) are a plus.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
