AIOps Program Architect – CloudOps Practice

Description

The AIOps Program Architect is a senior leadership role within the CloudOps practice, responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps) across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure. This role is pivotal in designing and delivering innovative, multi-cloud AIOps solutions that enhance operational efficiency, predictive capabilities, and automation for enterprise clients across diverse industries, including finance, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and technology.

The AIOps Program Architect will lead the development of a comprehensive AIOps strategy, integrating advanced machine learning (ML), generative AI, and data analytics to address complex IT operations challenges such as anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, event correlation, and automated remediation. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in cloud-native AI/ML services across GCP, AWS, and Azure, coupled with the ability to translate business and operational requirements into transformative AIOps architectures.

As a client-facing leader, the AIOps Program Architect will engage with C-level executives and senior IT stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor to articulate the business value of AIOps solutions. Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills are critical to evangelize AIOps strategies, deliver compelling demonstrations, and build confidence in the CloudOps practice's capabilities. The role also involves mentoring technical teams, fostering innovation, and contributing to the development of intellectual property (IP) and reusable assets to strengthen the AIOps practice.

The AIOps Program Architect will drive cross-functional collaboration, aligning data engineering, AI/ML, and DevOps practices to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient AIOps solutions. This position requires a forward-thinking approach to leverage emerging technologies, such as generative AI and advanced observability, to address industry-specific use cases, ensuring the practice remains competitive in the rapidly evolving AIOps landscape.

Responsibilities

Strategic AIOps Leadership & Practice Development

· Define and articulate the strategic vision and roadmap for the AIOps practice, aligning with organizational goals and industry trends across GCP, AWS, and Azure.

· Develop and mature a comprehensive suite of AIOps service offerings, including anomaly detection, predictive analytics, automated incident management, and intelligent observability, tailored to industry-specific use cases.

· Champion innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging AIOps technologies, such as generative AI (e.g., Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering), advanced telemetry, and multi-cloud observability frameworks.

· Lead the creation of intellectual property (IP), including reference architectures, reusable assets, and best practices, to enhance delivery efficiency and establish the practice as a thought leader in AIOps.

· Collaborate with cross-practice leaders to integrate AIOps with broader CloudOps, DevOps, and data modernization initiatives.

Architecture & Delivery Excellence

· Architect end-to-end AIOps solutions across GCP, AWS, and Azure, leveraging cloud-native AI/ML services such as GCP Vertex AI, AWS SageMaker, and Azure Machine Learning, alongside observability tools like GCP Operations Suite, AWS CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.

· Design and implement robust MLOps and AIOps frameworks for model lifecycle management, including CI/CD/CT pipelines, automated training, deployment, versioning, and continuous monitoring for operational and model performance.

· Develop scalable data pipelines for AIOps use cases, ensuring efficient data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, and governance using tools like GCP BigQuery/Dataflow, AWS Glue/Kinesis, and Azure Data Factory.

· Ensure AIOps solutions incorporate responsible AI principles, including fairness, transparency, and explainability, to meet regulatory and ethical standards across industries.

· Conduct rigorous reviews of solution designs, code, and deployment plans to ensure architectural integrity, scalability, and risk mitigation.

Client Engagement & Pre-Sales Leadership

· Act as the principal technical advisor for C-level executives and IT leaders, delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations to articulate the strategic and operational value of AIOps solutions.

· Lead pre-sales activities, including solution design, proposal development, proof-of-concept (PoC) creation, and impactful storytelling to secure major AIOps engagements with deal sizes potentially exceeding $5 million.

· Understand clients' business and operational challenges to architect AIOps solutions that deliver measurable outcomes, such as reduced downtime, optimized resource utilization, and enhanced IT efficiency.

· Foster long-term strategic partnerships by identifying additional AIOps opportunities within client environments, driving account growth and client satisfaction.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of AI/ML engineers, data engineers, and cloud architects, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture.

· Guide career development for team members, conducting performance reviews and providing ongoing feedback to support their growth in AIOps and multi-cloud expertise.

· Oversee resource allocation for strategic AIOps projects, ensuring optimal team composition and skill alignment to meet project objectives.

Operational & Financial Oversight

· Manage sales, solution, and delivery escalation processes, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.

· Maintain financial and contractual responsibility for the profitability of AIOps engagements, including pipeline analysis and forecasting for strategic planning.

· Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and delivery standards, mitigating risks and addressing issues promptly.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master's, Ph.D.) in AI, ML, or related disciplines are preferred.

· 12+ years of experience in information technology, with a strong focus on AI/ML, data analytics, and cloud computing across GCP, AWS, and Azure.

· 7+ years of hands-on experience architecting and delivering enterprise-grade AI/ML or AIOps solutions, with a proven track record of successful projects on at least two of the three major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).

· 3+ years in a technical leadership role, managing or mentoring teams of engineers and architects in AI/ML or AIOps initiatives.

· Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles, including pre-sales, solution consulting, and advisory engagements with senior stakeholders (e.g., CTO, CIO).

· Proven expertise in developing and implementing AIOps or MLOps strategies in enterprise environments, covering automation, observability, and predictive analytics.

· Experience addressing industry-specific AIOps use cases, such as predictive maintenance in manufacturing, fraud detection in finance, or patient outcome prediction in healthcare.

· Track record of thought leadership, such as publications, conference presentations, or contributions to AIOps/AI communities, is highly desirable.

Technical Skills (AIOps & Multi-Cloud Focus)

· Cloud Platforms:

o GCP: Deep expertise in Vertex AI (Pipelines, Training, Prediction, Feature Store), BigQuery ML, Google Cloud Operations Suite, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.

o AWS: Strong proficiency in SageMaker, CloudWatch, Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, and AWS AI/ML services for AIOps use cases.

o Azure: Comprehensive knowledge of Azure Machine Learning, Azure Monitor, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure AI services.

· AIOps & ML Expertise:

o Advanced understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., anomaly detection, time-series forecasting, clustering) and deep learning architectures (e.g., LSTMs, Transformers).

o Proficiency in generative AI techniques, including RAG, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) for operational use cases.

o Expertise in MLOps/AIOps frameworks, including CI/CD for ML, model registries, automated retraining, and monitoring for data drift and performance degradation.

· Programming & Tools:

o Expert-level proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers).

o Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE, EKS, AKS) for deploying AIOps solutions.

o Knowledge of RESTful API and gRPC design for exposing ML models as scalable services.

· Data Engineering:

o Strong experience in designing data pipelines for AIOps, including ingestion, transformation, and storage using multi-cloud tools (e.g., GCP BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse).

o Familiarity with real-time data processing and streaming (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis).

· Observability & Automation:

o Expertise in observability tools for AIOps, including log analytics, metrics, and tracing (e.g., GCP Operations Suite, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).

o Experience with automation frameworks for incident response and remediation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or cloud-native automation tools).

· Responsible AI: Deep understanding of AI ethics, fairness, transparency, and explainability, with the ability to integrate these principles into AIOps solutions.

The pay range for this position is $190000.00 - $240000.00/yr.
