The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be detail oriented. In order to be a qualified candidate for this position, you must have an advanced understanding of complex framing including, but not limited to, heavy timber construction, complex roof framing, structural steel integration with wood framing, lumber optimization, and most importantly, you will be generating lumber and hardware material lists for rough and finish carpentry. The majority of your time will be spent in our Reno office. However, the candidate must also be comfortable driving and working in all weather conditions and be willing to wear bags for layout and field supervision whenever necessary. Many years of field experience on complex custom homes is a requirement of this position.
This job will also require the ability to generate well written RFI's. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with clients, architects, engineers and our field staff. The qualified candidate must also be competent with Word, Excel, and Outlook, The candidate must be able to pass a full background check and DMV report.
