What You'll Do as a Tree Climber:

• Climb trees over 80 feet using flip lines, spurs, and ropes.
• Perform tree trimming and limb removal at considerable heights.
• Apply proper cutting techniques for felling trees and pruning limbs.
• Use safe and effective rigging procedures to control falling limbs.
• Select and utilize the appropriate knots, ropes, and climbing methods for the task at hand.
• Assess rope strength in relation to wood weight to ensure safety.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Read and interpret work orders and location directions.
• Learn and implement new methods and techniques as needed.
• Maintain a cooperative team environment, assisting crew members as necessary.

What You Need to Succeed:
Knowledge of:

• Knots commonly used in tree trimming work.
• Proper tree-cutting techniques for felling and limb removal.
• Safety regulations and best practices in the industry.
• Rigging procedures to control tree removal effectively.
• Various climbing methods and techniques.
• Rope strengths and weight considerations in tree work.

Skills & Abilities:

• Climb and perform tree work at significant heights safely.
• Coordinate body movements effectively while working at heights.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with the crew and clients.
• Follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Work independently and make quick, informed decisions in the field.
• Establish and maintain strong teamwork and collaboration.

Compensation & Schedule:
Competitive Pay: Based on experience and skill level $30-$40 per hour
Full-Time Position: Monday - Friday 7:00am-4:30pm
