Architectural Residential Designer role at WILSON ENGINEERS, LLC

Wilson Engineers is an Arizona-based firm with a staff of more than 200 personnel specializing in residential architecture, water/wastewater engineering, and construction management services. Location: Minden, NV or Reno, NV (on-site, Monday - Friday)

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and layouts for residential projects including high-end single-family homes, multi-family units, and renovations
• Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit)
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather measurements and understand spatial requirements
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget constraints
• Select materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings that align with design goals and client expectations
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design feasibility and compliance with building codes
• Assist in preparing and presenting design proposals to clients
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring milestones are met

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
• 4+ years of professional experience in residential design
• Licensed Architect or Licensed Residential Designer preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools
• Strong understanding of residential building codes and construction processes
