Lead Construction Subcontractor Manager (Piping Field Eng- (240)

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Lead Construction Subcontractor Manager to monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project. This role requires coordinating and instructing subcontractor management staff, ensuring operations align with established schedules and safe work methods.

Base Pay Range

$67.00/hr – $87.00/hr

Major Responsibilities

  • Monitors and directs subcontractor activities, coordinating instruction of subcontractor management staff.
  • Supports large projects of high complexity with multiple stakeholders.
  • Plans and reviews subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, material and equipment requirements; approves methods and schedules where necessary.
  • Leads construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with overall established schedules.
  • Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor and other requirements.
  • Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
  • Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents and other technical documents.
  • Coordinates engineering solutions with subcontractors, Foremen and Craft Professionals; coordinates with Design on constructability issues.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience with client direct hire craft preferred.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Understanding of applicable client work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures is preferred.
  • Experience in mining and metals.
  • Familiarity with client Standard Applications (BSAPs) including ACONEX, TEAMWorks, client Productivity System, PTR, eSub and other automation tools which are used on client projects is an asset.
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving ability.
