Job Summary

Were looking for a curious, detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our team and help shape the way we manage, transform, and integrate data across the organization. In this role, youll partner closely with development and analytics teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and reliable whether that means designing automated processes, writing sophisticated SQL, or engineering pipelines that bring multiple data sources together. If youre passionate about programming as both craft and problem-solving, thrive in dynamic environments, and enjoy working on a variety of projects at once, this role will give you the scope and challenge youre looking for.

Responsibilities

• Manage user, group, and role access in multiple environments.
• Assist in employee on-boarding and off-boarding.
• Assist Dev teams with everything database-related, including data quality validations.
• Assist Analytics teams with everything database related thats not analytics.
• Practice software craftsmanship in multiple programming languages.
• Implement automated routines, AWS Lambdas, shell scripts, and more.
• Transform raw data into usable formats.
• Engineer and automate recurring and one-off import and export processes.
• Implement data integration strategies combining data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Write and debug sophisticated SQL queries in an exacting manner.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with humans.
• Enthusiasm for all kinds of data (relational, linked, structured, semi-structured) and programming as an art form.
• Desire to work on many things at once in a dynamic and research-oriented environment.
• Passion for exercising vital powers along lines of excellence in a position affording them scope.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
