Call Center Specialist

Description:

Are you looking for a long-term opportunity where your communication skills and attention to detail can truly make an impact? Our client is seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to join their 24/7 communications center. In this fast-paced environment, you'll play a vital role in managing sensitive information, supporting public safety efforts, and assisting callers through various digital and phone-based platforms.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Carson City, Nevada, with the potential for long-term placement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming calls, messages, and digital communications via hotline, mobile apps, and web platforms.
  • Input caller information and dialogue into secure software systems with speed and accuracy.
  • Monitor the status of submitted tips and maintain communication with appropriate recipients via phone, email, and fax.
  • Maintain organized records and files, and assist with data entry and internal reporting.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, track email requests, and manage calendar appointments.
  • Communicate with individuals of all ages, including children, in a respectful and unbiased manner.
What We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of progressively responsible administrative or customer service experience, including recordkeeping, public interaction, or clerical accounting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a high-stress environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong typing skills and the ability to accurately transcribe verbal information.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background or training in social work, counseling, life coaching, telecommunications, or digital communications.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts:
    • Day: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
    • Swing: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
    • Grave: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
      (Shifts rotate approximately every two months)
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check (no felony convictions, active warrants, or unresolved legal issues).
  • Must be drug-free, including THC (drug screening required).
  • No visible tattoos on the head, face, neck, or hands.
  • Must be able to hear clearly while on the phone and view computer screens for extended periods.
