Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end users related to applications, computers and peripherals. The IT Support Specialist will respond to user emails, triage tickets, isolate problems and determine and implement solutions.

Other Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 1 support for incoming queries and issues related to systems and networking.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all Hamilton employees throughout the process of resolving their support needs.
• Prioritize and respond to requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain appropriate documentation in tickets and related systems.
• Develop and document solutions in the form of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Effectively communicate complicated computer problems to Tier 2 support.
• Coach computer users on topics associated with their computer problems.
• Configure, install, modify, and maintain computers, laptops, and peripherals.
• Utilize software/hardware tools to help diagnose computer problems.
• Connect PCs to Local Area Networks (LAN) and resolve network-related issues.
• Administration of user accounts in Active Directory, Azure, and other systems.
• Perform onboarding and off-boarding of new or existing employees.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, pleasant demeanor, and the ability to work harmoniously with users at all levels.
• Thorough understanding of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and current computer technology and trends.
• General knowledge of network domains, VLANS, Active Directory and login procedures, web browser settings, and the difference between Intranet and the Internet.
• Ability to analyze problems, develop alternatives, and take appropriate steps toward a solution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Capable of working with multiple systems in tandem and multitasking.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
• Strong data management, accuracy, and eye for detail.

Education/Experience

• At least two years of helpdesk experience is preferred.
• Stable work history and employment background.
• IT certification or four-year degree is preferred.

Mid Salary

USD $25.85/Hr.
