Assistant Adjunct Professor

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Literacy, Special Education and Early Childhood Education (LESE) in the College of Education seeks applications for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor, starting in January 2026. This position will teach Special and Inclusive Education courses online. The course meeting times are arranged by the instructor. This position is eligible for a remote work schedule. Remote work must be performed within the state of Iowa. Employees who elect remote work must comply with the requirements of our remote work policy and agreement.

Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Education or Special Education with relevant teaching experience in the field required. Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills also required.

Preferred Qualifications: Endorsements in Special Education and/or commensurate professional experience supporting special education students or educators; online teaching experience; at least five years teaching in the field; and a record of excellence of teaching with evidence of a student-focused approach preferred.
