Description:

Liberty Energy Services is seeking a Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Specialist to ensure that commercial roofing projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role involves performing inspections, verifying adherence to manufacturer specifications, monitoring installation practices, and documenting project quality from start to finish. The QC/QA Specialist serves as the key point of accountability for ensuring roofs meet company standards, client expectations, and warranty requirements. This position is located in Reno, Nevada. Schedule: 6 days a week; 10‑hour days. Pay Range: $30‑$40/hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily quality inspections of roofing installations to verify compliance with manufacturer guidelines, project specifications, and company standards.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance across all job sites in collaboration with field supervisors and safety representatives.
  • Monitor and document progress through reports, photos, and audit records; maintain accurate QA/QC documentation for project files.
  • Conduct pre‑installation meetings to review specifications, details, and manufacturer requirements with field teams and subcontractors.
  • Inspect materials upon delivery to confirm proper type, quality, and storage practices.
  • Oversee installation practices, including membrane welding, flashing details, and tie‑ins, to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry and warranty standards.
  • Proactively identify deficiencies or non‑conformances, communicate corrective actions, and verify resolutions.
  • Coordinate with Construction Managers, Field Supervisors, and Crew Leads to resolve quality‑related issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Train, mentor, and coach field teams on proper QA/QC practices and techniques.
  • Conduct final inspections, prepare punch lists, and assist in obtaining warranty approvals from manufacturers.
  • Review and assist with safety audits, compliance documents, and manufacturer required submittals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with a focus on TPO and PVC systems.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing materials, installation techniques, and manufacturer standards.
  • Experience in QA/QC inspections, documentation, and reporting.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding environments.
  • Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office) preferred.
  • Ability to travel to multiple job sites as required.
