The Zero Trust team at OCI owns all the critical services that enable enforcement of ZPR policies at the L4 layer. ZPR is a new service that prevents threat vectors such as preventing access to critical customer resources by eliminating lateral movement, data exfil and compromised credential attacks from the internet. You will work on new features to enhance ZPR to drive adoption, work on internal and external adoption to make ZPR the de facto standard of OCI to protect customer workloads, work on extending ZPR for cross region/cross realm/multicloud and on Prem use cases. You will work on defining the ZPR policy language for future enhancements.
You should be familiar with both core cloud services architecture and a strong security background. We need someone who can go deepideally, someone who has worked in Identity or Crypto areas as an architect/Principal Engineer at a major Hyperscaler. This experience is relevant because it involves understanding security in the context of large-scale cloud services. We need someone comfortable moving across all these areas, going broad as well as deep into specific areas, and ensuring we make the right decisions as we rearchitect and transform some of these services from legacy systems to new ones.
There are significant security problems to solve in managing all these regions and realms securely, covering everything from crypto to identity to access and permissions. The goal is to apply the same rigor to security that we do to keeping our system available, thereby improving the overall availability and security of our services.
