The Position
Under general supervision, Aircraft Maintenance Specialists perform inspections, repair and overhaul on agency aircraft such as light or medium class rotorcraft in order to ensure the safety of passengers and equipment engaged in flight operations; and maintain and update technical data related to aircraft maintenance and applicable federal regulations.
The Division of Forestry (NDF) is recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist in the Minden airfield location. The NDF operates one Bell Helicopter 212S Eagle Copters conversion, one Bell B205 and one military surplus UH-1H helicopter. The incumbent will perform inspections, repair and overhaul on NDF operated helicopters meeting FAA standards. All work is to ensure the safety of crew, passengers, and equipment engaged in flight operations. The incumbent maintains and updates technical data related to aircraft maintenance and applicable federal regulations and performs other duties as assigned.
