Showroom Usher-On Call

Schedule: Full Time

Location: Reno, NV

Salary: $14.00Hr.

Summary: As a Showroom Usher you will provide quality, one of a kind service to all Grand Theater guests. You will assist by escorting guests to their seats, answering questions and locating facilities such as the restrooms and other Grand Theater amenities. As a Showroom Usher you will also be in charge of setting up the Showroom for events and manning the re-entry post during the event.

• Excellent communication and problem solving skills, including ability to maintain composure under stress.

Education: Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Demands: Stand, walk, bend (at neck and waist), reach (above and below shoulder level), and squat for duration of shift, walking 2-4 miles during an 8-hour shift. Simple grasping, repetitive use of the hands and fine hand manipulation is required to complete essential functions. Lift, grasp, or otherwise carry items and material weighing up to 20 lbs.

Other Qualifications: Minimum of 18 years of age, flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate. Ability to verbally communicate in English and attend and participate in meetings in order to be informed of new rules, regulations and procedures and to discuss other concerns of the Hotel and/or department.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice.
• Answer questions and offer assistance to provide guest satisfaction.
• Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, Hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
• Use linens, table toppers and table numbers to set-up showroom seating.
• Check guest's tickets for seating numbers and direct/escort the guests to their seats.
• Stand at podium in re-entry area (making yourself visible to guests) during events.
• Comply with hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Hotel facilities.
• Other duties may be required depending on the event and the needs of the Hotel.
