Equipment Operator

The Department of Public Works is currently accepting applications for one Equipment Operator vacancy in Tahoe. Snow removal experience is preferred, but not required. As an Equipment Operator with Placer County, you will operate light and moderately heavy road maintenance and construction equipment in the repair, maintenance, and construction of County roads. This is the full journey level class within the Equipment Operator series.

Employees who are permanently assigned to a position located in the North Lake Tahoe area are eligible to receive an additional $1,000 per month as a Tahoe Branch Assignment Premium.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: Two years of responsible experience performing duties similar to those of a Maintenance Worker assigned to various program areas in Placer County.
  • Training: Completion of 12th grade or equivalent.
