The Project Controls Manager I drives successful project delivery, supporting solar, energy storage, wind, transmission, and distribution. This person collaborates closely with the Construction Project Management team to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and budget.
Areas of responsibility include cost control, cost reporting, forecasting, financial reporting, performance measurement, earned value analysis, contract management, subcontract compliance, invoice management, change management, and risk analysis. This position is expected to travel to the project site between 30-50% of the time, dependent on project alignment.
Manages the Cost Control Process:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering Construction Management, Accounting, or 5 years of related experience required. 3 or more years of experience in Project Controls/Commercial Management in a construction environment required. Ability to travel domestically 51 to 75%. Must possess a valid Driver's license. Understanding of Safety and OSHA requirements. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships. Ability to work independently and be proactive. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership, mentoring, and facilitation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people and approaches. Strong decision-making skills. Strong writing and reporting skills. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, Visio, cost databases). Intermediate experience with job costing or accounting software knowledge of Business World, Procore, HeavyJob, and HeavyBid an advantage. Intermediate experience with Primavera P6. Functional competencies include accountability, attention to detail, prioritization, business acumen, and collaboration.
$98,000 - $122,000 The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
