Vehicle & Equipment Mechanic I–II position.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Equipment
Repair Supervisor, performs maintenance,
troubleshooting, and repair of automotive,
diesel, public safety, and other power-driven
vehicles and equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
Mechanic I:
• California Class A driver's license with
tanker and air brake endorsements
(insurable within 18 months)
• Two (2) years of experience or equivalent
education/experience in vehicle and heavy
equipment repair
Mechanic II:
• Four (4) years of journey-level automotive/
heavy equipment repair experience or four
(4) years as Mechanic I
• California Class A driver's license with
tanker, air brake, and 10,000-lb towing
endorsements
• Generator Maintenance Certification within
24 months of hire
