Under supervision, keeps assigned building area clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly; secures rooms and cleaning stations; does special cleaning. May perform minor maintenance and painting duties. Incumbent performs related duties as required. During school year, positions may be assigned to early morning, morning, afternoon, evening or night shifts.

Employment Standards:
Education/Experience: Any combination equivalent to education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be: Six (6) months of experience demonstrating reliability, responsibility and good work habits.
Knowledge of: Reading, writing and basic arithmetic sufficient to perform job duties successfully; and cleaning materials, methods and equipment.
Skill at: Understanding and carrying out oral and written instructions; learning supplies, equipment and prescribed methods of cleaning; performing strenuous physical work; working effectively under time limitations and without immediate supervision; climbing and working from ladders; making simple arithmetic calculations; and developing working relationships with those contacted in course or work.
License/Certifications: Possession of, or the ability to obtain a valid State of Nevada license with a driving record acceptable to the District.
Special Considerations: Working under occasional adverse environmental conditions, such as heat, cold, dust and fumes.
