Host(ess), Dessert, ToGo, Cashier Position At Max's In Auburn

Max's in Auburn has an immediate opening for Host(ess), Dessert, ToGo, Cashier person. This position is heavy customer service. Candidate must have pleasant personality, ability to work alone as well as take direction.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party, mention featured menu items. Provide guests with estimated waiting time. Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
• Answer telephone within reasonable amount of rings and transfer calls accordingly.
• Take room service orders and enter into computer system, upsell whenever possible.
• Have knowledge of menu items, preparation, and ingredients.
• Make all desserts according to the food description.
• Take all to go orders.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
• Relay messages to servers and buspersons as needed.
• Rotate product for dessert case.
• Ensure quality when stocking pie case and whip cream machine.
• Cash in money.
• Assist servers as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Have all to go orders boxed, bagged and ready for pick-up.
• Keep dessert station clean and organized.
• Complete all side work for host, to go and dessert.
• Greet and help all guests that enter into the restaurant.

Qualifications

• No previous restaurant experience required.
• Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Must have exceptional grooming habits.
• Must be courteous, polite and friendly to all guests.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers.
