GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Customer Service Associate is key in providing our customers with a memorable shopping experience. This role involves greeting customers warmly, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and efficiently executing tasks as needed to meet our operational goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Safety is paramount; practice and promote safe behaviors in all tasks.
  • Create a clutter-free, secure shopping environment by promptly addressing unsafe conditions.
  • Treat all customers and associates with respect, professionalism, and friendliness.
  • Engage with customers to assist with merchandise and answer inquiries efficiently.
  • Respond to customer service needs swiftly and courteously, seeking assistance from leadership when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company dress standards.
  • Perform cleaning tasks to keep the store and customer areas well-maintained.
  • Ensure the store is organized and merchandise is presented according to company standards.
  • Understand and follow loss prevention policies and merchandise protection protocols.
  • Handle cash and transactions accurately following established procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates in a friendly manner.
  • Basic math skills for common retail calculations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

  • Ability to use store equipment as required and spend time standing and moving throughout the store.
  • Capability to bend, squat, kneel, lift, and reach regularly.
  • Ability to lift over 25 pounds occasionally.
