FAR Inspections is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Residential Occupancy Verification Inspectors. In this role, you will perform crucial inspections on behalf of mortgage lenders, verifying the occupancy and condition of residential properties.

This is an independent contractor position, allowing you to earn either full-time or supplemental income while enjoying a flexible work schedule. No prior experience in mortgage field inspections is necessary, but strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. With over 9 years of experience in the field, FAR Inspections is dedicated to providing quality service to our clients.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting quick inspections, typically taking only 5-6 minutes each.
• Completing inspections within 4 days of assignment.
• Assessing property conditions and determining occupancy status by adhering to industry standards.
• Capturing 9+ photographs of the property with brief comments.
• Utilizing a mobile application to complete a simple form for each inspection.
• Spending extended periods driving between inspections within your assigned area.

Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A computer with internet access.
• A reliable vehicle (good fuel efficiency is advantageous, as you will cover your own gas expenses).
• A smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• A printer.
• The ability to pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.

Compensation and Hours: This position is set up as a 1099 contractor role, where inspectors are paid a flat rate per inspection. Payment varies based on county and inspection volume. On average, earnings fall between $20-$30 per hour.

Depending on your county, you may complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections each month, typically putting in 2-30 hours of work per week. Higher volume areas may have lower rates, while lower volume counties often provide better compensation. Although you control your schedule, the workload remains consistent month-to-month. You can increase your earnings as you establish yourself, increase your availability for inspections, or choose to cover a broader territory.

Please note that there is no additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
