We serve a population of over 250,000 and feature two hospitals, two urgent cares, an emergent care center, outpatient services and a provider network with 19 regional locations.SummaryUnder the general direction of the Food Services Manager, oversees and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the kitchen and cooking staff. Utilizes the inventory system to estimate food cost and consumption and to requisition/purchase food. Assists in Selecting, developing and standardizing recipes to ensure consistent quality. Assists in establishing food presentation technique, quality standards, menu plans and pricing. Ensures proper safety, sanitation and equipment operation/maintenance in the kitchen. Cooks selected items for special occasions or kitchen stations. Oversee special catering events and offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrations.QualificationsRequired* High school diploma or equivalent required.* ServSafe Certified* Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in food service, cooking in institutional setting.
