Programmer Analyst - PowerBI/GIS

Richmond VA - Hybrid

Work with the data science team to build the visualization applications using ArcGIS and PowerBI platforms and also build internal applications using the PowerApps/Powerautomate platform

Core responsibilities
• Gain broad understanding of the VDOT innovation framework
• Use the innovative/latest tools and best practices to build applications using the Power Platform and ArcGIS
• Follow all applicable industry and VDOT standards, processes and Protocols
• Engage multiple customers and develop applications to meet their needs
• manage stakeholder communications and expectations

KSA:

o Process mapping experience,

o Code Documentation,

o Writing Requirements/Scope documents,

o Writing use-cases,

o using architectural artifacts

o interpreting solution architectures

o Excellent written and oral communication

o Customer focused collaboration

o bility to travel around the state as needed

o Minimum of three days in the office to work with the rest of the team

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years programming experience in a high level compiled language such as C#, C++, Java
• Minimum of 5 years experience with scripting languages such as javascript and Python
• Minimum of 2 years experience with Microsoft PowerPlatform to include PowerApps, PowerAutomate, SharePoint and Dataverse. (Hard Requirement)
• Minimum of 5 years experience using GIS for creating dynamic mapping applications and processing real-time location data.
• Minimum of 5 years experience using RESTFul APIS
• Other Software Knowledge: Visio, Visual Studio Code/Visual Studio Community Edition, SQL Server, Azure Datalakes and Warehouse, Oracle, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Experiences.
