About the Role
AVK is a well-established company in US with a strong mechanical heritage and a reputation for delivering high-quality products to the water industry. We are, towards our utility customers, strengthening our focus on digital solutions that support the operation of modern water infrastructure.
We are looking for a Business Development Director for Digital Products to build and grow our Smart Water business in the United States. This is a hands-on role combining solution strategy, sales execution, market development, and partner collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute AVK-Smart Water business strategy for digital water solutions in US.
· Drive hands-on sales activities and key account development.
· Build and expand the sales pipeline for Smart Water solutions.
· Establish and manage partnerships with relevant technology and solution partners.
· Collaborate closely with the US organization and European HQ.
· Drive marketing initiatives, value propositions, and customer cases.
· Act as a thought leader on Smart Water topics.
· Represent AVK-US at industry events and customer meetings.
Required Competencies and Experience
· Strong knowledge of water distribution and utility operations (e.g. pressure management,
leak detection, SCADA, metering, IoT).
· Proven experience in business development and solution sales to water utilities in the US.
· Strong industry network and relationships.
· Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution.
· Experience with digital or data-driven solutions is an advantage.
