Learning And Development (L&D) Facilitator & Leadership Coach

The Learning and Development (L&D) Facilitator & Leadership Coach is responsible for facilitating and overseeing learning programs, primarily the Academic and Administrative Leadership Excellence Programs (ALE) for leaders who build individual, team, and organizational leadership capability across campus. This role serves as a trusted coach and mentor to leaders at all levels, supporting leadership effectiveness, talent development, and a culture of continuous learning.

The incumbent partners closely with senior leaders, managers, faculty/staff leaders (as applicable), and HR stakeholders to ensure learning strategies align with institutional priorities, workforce needs, and values.

Learning Facilitation & Delivery

  • Facilitate ALE program content leaders and faculty across campus
  • Deliver training programs in areas such as:
    • Leadership and management fundamentals
    • Communication, feedback, and performance management
    • Team effectiveness and collaboration
    • Change leadership and adaptability
  • Adapt facilitation approaches to meet diverse learner needs and learning styles

Learning Program Operations

  • Partner with stakeholders to conduct needs assessments and identify the appropriate learning and facilitation interventions needed to influence successful outcomes.
  • Participate in the management of learning calendars, cohorts, and program evaluations
  • Analyze participation and impact data to measure effectiveness and inform improvements

Mentoring Support

  • Oversee administration of the UNE Learning and Development Mentoring Program
  • Serve as a mentor to leaders across campus, offering guidance, developmental feedback, and perspective
  • Support formal and informal mentoring and peer learning initiatives
  • Advise leaders on development planning, succession readiness, and talent growth

Leadership Coaching

  • Act as a leadership coach for leaders, supervisors, and emerging leaders
  • Support leaders in areas such as:
    • Leadership presence and effectiveness
    • Navigating complex people issues
    • Leading through change and ambiguity
    • Career development and growth

Learning and Development Consultation

  • Act as a consultative partner to campus leaders, HR colleagues, and organizational stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on learning strategies tied to organizational change initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 57 years of experience in facilitation, coaching, operations, or program management
  • Experience coaching and mentoring leaders or managers
  • Experience leading and managing program operations

Compensation

$50/hour

Schedule
