The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing all pastry and bakery products in accordance with Pastry Shop standards. This role supports higher-level bakers and pastry chefs, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to recipes and presentation guidelines. The position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced culinary environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities* Prepare pastries, desserts, baked goods, and specialty items as trained and directed.* Follow standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation requirements.* Assist higher-level bakers and pastry chefs with production tasks and banquet needs.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Pastry Shop, equipment, and storage areas.* Ensure proper labeling, rotation, and storage of all ingredients and finished goods.* Assist with inventory, receiving, and proper handling of products.* Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.* Support special events, seasonal menus, and high-volume production periods as assigned.* Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Pastry leadership.
