Rock Yard Teammate

Our Rock Yard teammates support our customer shopping experience by selling products, loading vehicles, clean up work, ringing up customers on the register, answering phones etc. Teammates spend their day in a flexible work environment pending order fluctuation youmay be asked to do other duties such as working in the garden center. They work active days and derive satisfaction from supporting team mates and customers in a fast-paced retail environment. Each day these teammates learn more and gain more expertise in this great industry.

Your specific job responsibilities include:

• Upholds Moana Nursery's strict safety policies
• Shows up on time ready to work
• Greets customers with a warm smile
• Promptly responds to customer needs, requests for service or assistance
• Communicates using radios to other Moana teammates
• Sells products based on customer needs
• Helps customers navigate through the online store
• Maintains a clean and organized work space
• Participates in cleaning and organizing throughout the store
• Helps restock our product
• Learns as much as they can
• Answer phones
• Uses POS equipment
• Answers questions concerning price, sales, services and programs
• Provides outstanding customer service
• Thanks our customers each and every time they visit!

Physical requirements and activity include:

• Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Applicant must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Applicant must be able to work outdoors for an extended period of time.

Expertise:

• Organized and detailed experience for this role is not necessary, but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are.

Nice to have skills or experiences include:

• Experience working a Point of Sale system
• Strong verbal and written communications
• Proficient in basic level computer skills

Your future work schedule:

Our retail stores are open 7 days a week and we are busiest on the weekend. We are looking for teammates that can work weekends and be flexible to accommodate the changing retail environment. The Rock Yard opens at 7a Mon-Fri and later on weekends. Please make sure you list your availability on the application.

Your future salary and benefits:

• Starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour and increases based on experience, expertise and responsibilities.
