The Receiving Supervisor leads and directs the Receiving Department team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all inbound freight. This role is responsible for supervising receiving associates, maintaining compliance with vendor and routing requirements, overseeing returns processing, managing value-added service projects, and driving performance against departmental and building KPIs. The Receiving Supervisor serves as the primary safety contact during AM operations and plays an active role in opening the facility to support on-time start of operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in the receiving functions of a large distribution center. Demonstrated performance at the Receiving Associate and Receiving Clerk levels. Strong leadership, organizational, and team development skills. Experience in freight coordination and inbound supply chain processes. Working knowledge of international shipping documentation and product classification. Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively across all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and requests with accuracy under pressure. Certification to operate various types of material handling equipment may be required.
