Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 1st Shift Seismic at our Reno, NV facility! The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 per hour. The core hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:

Eaton is looking for a Forklift Driver / Material Handler to support the production team.

  • Operate a forklift to move raw materials, components, supplies & finished goods.
  • Load and unload trailers as required.
  • Pick and pull stock for delivery.
  • Organize pallet area in the backyard on regular basis (assist during backyard attendant absence).
  • Organize material storage locations in backyard and inside the building on a regular basis.
  • Complete daily forklift inspection.
  • Primary owner for recycling duties for assigned area (i.e., emptying cardboard bins to the cardboard baler daily, operating cardboard baler, etc.).
  • Ability to work overtime with little to no notice as necessary for customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Keeps work areas clean and safe.
  • Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
    • Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
    • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
    • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
