We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a full‑time, temp‑to‑hire opportunity with a long‑standing company in the North Valleys. This position offers weekly pay, full benefits upon hire, and a stable Monday–Friday schedule. Great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical, electrical, and welding experience looking for long‑term growth.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm (occasional weekends/overtime) 

Pay: $30/hr 

Location: Reno, NV 89506

Summary

The Plant Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment including saws, conveyors, compressors, and cutting machinery. This role also includes light maintenance on forklifts, tractors, and trailers, as well as general building maintenance. Candidates must be able to work independently and handle a fast‑paced environment.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment in a timely manner
• Perform welding, fabrication, and electrical repairs
• Install new machinery as needed
• Maintain equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Perform light maintenance on forklifts, tractors, and trailers
• Keep maintenance area clean, organized, and safe
• Maintain shop records and documentation
• Ensure tractors and trailers meet DOT compliance
• Work independently with minimal supervision

At the discretion of your lead or supervisor, you may be required to perform additional job‑related tasks not listed above.

Competency

To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following:

• 5+ years welding & fabrication experience (required)
• 5+ years mechanical maintenance experience (required)
• 5+ years electrical experience (required)
• 1+ year pneumatic experience (required)
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, squat, and stand without limitations
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Experience maintaining shop records
• Forklift maintenance experience is a plus
• Reliable work history with verifiable references
• Must be flexible to work overtime and some holidays if needed
• Resume required; interview required
• Candidates offered the position will be required to complete a drug test, which includes screening for THC.
