Job Description

Summit Racing Equipment is looking for energetic and personable individuals to join our #1 rated Customer Service team at our retail store in Sparks.

Minimum work hours per week: 40 Hours (Possibility for over time)

Shift Time: Varies. We offer 5/8 hour or 4 /10 hour shifts.

Work days: Varies. We are open 9 AM to 8 PM Monday – Saturday and 9 AM to 7 Pm Sunday

On-boarding/Training: Candidates will be required to work Monday – Friday in week 1 and Tuesday - Saturday in week 2.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Obtaining merchandise purchased from the Order Fulfillment Center and retail store, ensuring orders are correct and complete, and delivering them to the customer.
  • Assisting customer by bringing larger items to and from their vehicle.
  • Processing customer returns, stocking shelves and counters with merchandise.
  • Assisting in setting up advertising displays or arranging merchandise on counters to promote sales.
  • Helping to keep the store neat and organized by cleaning shelves, counters, and displays.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Our store is open 7 days/week.  The work shift will vary and will include working at least one weekend day, generally Saturday. Employees will have the opportunity to work local events. Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three months of customer service/related experience, cash handling, and computer skills are preferred. No automotive knowledge is required!

Dress CodeRetail store employees are furnished with a uniform that includes a racing theme shirt. The shirts must be tucked in. Black slacks must be worn with a black belt. Jeans are permitted on Jeans Day (Fridays) but must be worn with the uniform shirt. Customer Service Reps must wear safety shoes at all times. No open-toe, open-back shoes or sandals may be worn. Summit Racing Equipment will pay 100% of the cost up to $150.00 for the first pair and up to $150.00 for a replacement pair or shoe repair after each subsequent 12-month period worked after the employee has completed 30 days.

Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit Throughout the day, employees are required to be able to lift product up to 70lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. The employee must be able to maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift and during overtime situations.

Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving equipment and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
